We all feel the riddle of the earth without anyone to point it out. Every stone or flower is a hieroglyphic of which we have lost the key; with every step of our lives we enter into the middle of some story which we are certain to misunderstand.

Oh yes! I am the one that seems to always be misunderstanding the story. Often because I am so anxious to figure out the next part of the story before the Author has decided to reveal it to me :). Since the Author says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Is.55:8+9”. No wonder I am always jumping to the wrong conclusions. “Man’s goings are of the Lord; how can a man then understand his own way? Prov. 20:24” So while I may have my theories about the “story”, it is so much more interesting because I can’t figure it all out by myself. Thanks for the thought-provoking quote. Do you have any quotes that you could post by Camille Rose Wolaver? I miss hearing the delightful things that she has to say :).
You must be very busy these days. Thanks Camille, for the nice quote.
Certainly, there are things that God allows in our lives that we can misunderstand.
I like to think of life as picture where God is the artist, and we can't see the end result of the beautiful picture that God has planned. The poem "The Loom of Time" came to my mind.
Some of the stanzas are....
Man's life is laid in the loom of time
To a pattern he does not see,
While the weaver work and the shuttles fly
Till the dawn of eternity.
God surely planned the pattern:
Each thread, the dark and fair,
Is chosen by His master skill
And placed in the web with care.
